A 2019 Gallup poll showed that 14% of people use CBD products, and the number one reason is pain.
The Arthritis Foundation conducted its own poll and found that 29% reported current use of CBD (mostly in liquid or topical form), and nearly 80% of respondents were either using it, had used it in the past, or were considering it.
Of those using it, most reported improvement in physical function, sleep, and well-being; of note, a minority reported improvement in pain or stiffness.

Arthritis refers to joint pain or joint disease that affects the areas where your bones meet and move. It usually involves inflammation and/or degeneration or breakdown of the joints. Pain is felt when the joint is used.

Medical marijuana has been legal in Louisiana for years, but accessing it hasn’t always been easy. However, in 2016, legislators created a comprehensive medical cannabis program, and new bills in 2018 and 2020 expanded it significantly. Today, Louisiana residents experiencing a wide range of chronic and debilitating conditions can find comfort in medicinal cannabis.
It was reported that 57% of arthritis patients have tried medical marijuana and more than 90% say it helped.

There is no cure for arthritis. Hence, most people need to manage the symptoms of the disease for the rest of their lives because arthritis can impair a person’s ability to perform everyday tasks. This will include changing your routine to make your life living with arthritis easier.
The standard treatment for arthritis involves non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs) and paracetamol. For severe pain, opioids are sometimes prescribed.
Although there are many conventional medications to address symptoms, they often come with undesirable side effects. Thankfully, patients with arthritis can qualify for medical marijuana.
