No. Growing or cultivating medical cannabis is illegal in Arkansas—whether you’re a registered patient or a caregiver. At this time, you can only purchase medical marijuana and marijuana-infused products through licensed dispensaries in Arkansas.

How long is my medical marijuana ID card valid?

As a general rule, registry identification cards expire one year after they’re issued. However, a physician can choose to issue a card for less than a year.

How long does it take for the state to process my application?

After you submit your application (along with physician approval and payment), it can take up to 14 days to be processed. As soon as your application is approved, your medical marijuana card will be mailed to you on the next working day. Depending on the postal service in your area, you should receive your card a few days later.

How much medical marijuana can a qualified registered patient possess?

Patients may purchase up to 2.5 ounces from a licensed dispensary in a 14-day period. According to the Arkansas Department of Health, “Each individual purchase counts against the patient’s balance for 14 days; the patient balance does not reset every 14 days.”
